From an Ordinary Workshop Photo…

This started with a completely normal photo I took at work of a Yale forklift parked inside the workshop.

Like a lot of my AI experiments, I wondered what would happen if I turned an everyday object into something completely unexpected.

The Idea

Instead of creating a robot that appeared beside the forklift, I wanted the forklift itself to transform into a humanoid machine.

The concept was:

• every part of the forklift becomes part of the robot
• nothing is left behind
• realistic mechanical movement
• cinematic transformation
• a funny ending with sunglasses and attitude

Behind the Scenes

One of the biggest challenges with current AI video models is getting them to understand that the forklift shouldn’t simply “spawn” a robot.

Most models naturally try to make a second robot appear beside the object.

After several prompt revisions I managed to get much closer to the effect I was aiming for.

Why I Make These

I enjoy taking completely ordinary photos from everyday life and asking one simple question:

“What if this suddenly came alive?”

I’ve now experimented with:

• AI Coffee Mug Dragon
• AI Mouse Scorpion
• AI Wheelie Bin Recycling

and I’ve got plenty more ideas coming.
